Critical Role: EXU Divergence

Divergence is a four-part miniseries and the fourth installment in Critical Role's Exandria Unlimited series, set during the pivotal Divergence era in Exandria's history. It is led by Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan and features a cast including Matthew Mercer, Liam O'Brien, Alex Ward, Jasmine Don, and Celia Rose Gooding. The series takes place at the tail end of the Calamity, just as the Prime Deities prepare to depart from the Material Plane, marking the end of their direct influence on the world. The narrative centers on a group of five mortal adventurers, all ordinary individuals rather than legendary heroes, who are imprisoned in the fortress of Rybad-Kol under the Strife Emperor's rule. The series explores the grim realities of survival amidst the aftermath of a cataclysmic war, focusing on themes of helplessness, the consequences of divine actions, and the search for hope in a world stripped of its gods.
